11-27-89 NEW BABIES Glen Gubbelses arc the par- ents of a son born Nov. 22. He weighed 7 lbs. and has been named Brett Nicholas. Brett has a sister, Samantha, 2 1/2 years old. His grandp,ents are Lorena Gubbels of West- phalia and Norman Nielands of Breda. His great-grandparents are Leo Nielands of Breda. Jeff Schmidts are the parents of a son, Jason Edward born Nov. 19. Jason weighed 6 lbs. l0 1/2 oz. and has a sister, Jessica, 3. Grandparents are Paul Delps of Oregon, Me., and Alfred Schmidts of Craig, Me. Great-grandparents are John Trauernichts and Wade Whithams of Craig, Me. Great-great-grandmother is Ethel Cook of Craig, Me. C.Y.O. meeting was held Nov. 29. Plans were made for the annual Christmas program for Dec. 10. Cecelia Weihs, John Paulsons and Angela of Des Moines and Bill Schafers of Omaha were Thanksgiving Day guests of Marty Schafers in Omaha; Cecelia Weihs also visited Jim Cheney family in Omaha and returned home Saturday afternoon. Dick Goetzingers, Bill Goeinger and Tiffany, Larry Goetzingers and boys, Ron Zimmermans, Rick, Randy and Brenda at Ed Goesers joined others for a Thanksgiving dinner at Dale Grosses near Earling. A large crowd attended the 25th anniversary Mass and re- ception honoring Clarence Brinkers Sunday. WELCOMING NEW FAMILY MEMBER Thanksgiving dinner guests of Jeff Schmidt were Paul and Vesta Delp of Oregon, Me.; Greg Delp of Savanna, Me., and Angle Davison and daugh- ter, Michele of Forbes, Me. Sunday visitors were Alfred Schmidts and John Trau- ernichts of Craig, Me. All came to make the acquaintance of the Schmidts baby, Jason Edward. GIVING THANKS TOGETHER! SEWING CIRCLE MET The Sewing Circle met Friday with 11 ladies present and one guest, Sr. Rose Kaufman of Omaha. They sewed on one large quilt. Lunch was brought by Marie Blum. Sr. Richardine of Earling was a Friday guest. HOSTED THANKSGIVING DINNER Liz Rau hosted Harvey Raus, Rob and Kathy for a Thanksgiving dinner at a local restaurant. Mac Macaulays and girls of Omaha came Thursday morn- ing and spent Thanksgiving weekend with her parents, Barney Zimmermans and with her sister, Maribeth and her brothers. They returned home Sunday afternoon. CELEBRATING BIRTHDAYS Barney Zimmerman family gathered at an area restaurant last Friday eve., and observed the birthdays of Julie, 2 year old daughter of John Zimmermans and Mrs Paul (Arlene) Zimmerman. Later 1Ley all gathered at John ' immermans for cake and ice cream. Rita Wageman was a Thanksgiving guest at Hal Truemans at Bellevue, NE. A'VrENDED DAVIS/HATCH NUPTIALS Raymond Davises returned Wednesday from Phoenix, AZ., where they visited at Richard Davises and attended the outdoor wedding of their granddaughter, Tammi Davis and Brian Hatch on Saturday. Sunday, they were among guests entertained at Brian Hatches for the gift opening.
