HONORS FOR FORMER IRWIN1TES A former Irwinite, Joyce (Carter) Gale of Lawton, OK., was honored when Camanche City Memorial Hospital of that city, named a Scholarship Fund for nursing students in her name. She was a long time staff member and director of nursing for many years. The announcement was made recently during the Hospital Founders Day celebration in honor of its 38th anniversary. One other scholarship was also given. Joyce is now re- tired and daughter of the late Nick Caners of Irwin. HONORING 15TH BIRTHDAY Sunday afternoon lunch was held at Karl Hansons to honor the 15th birthday of their daughter, Rochelle. Cecil Blum Sr. returned home Tuesday morning from Myrtue Hospital, where he was a patient for several days for test and observation, we're glad to report he's doing very well.
